How do I Buy Bookyo?

To buy Bookyo you pay an Installation Licence.

This Licence allows you to install Bookyo in your servers or in a server you rent to an ISP. 

When you buy Bookyo, you become the owner of the software you install.

 
How do I Rent Bookyo?
To rent Bookyo, you pay a Use Licence.
 
This Licence allows you to use a web-based version of the application.
How much does it cost to buy Bookyo?

Buying Bookyo will cost you differently depending on the modules you choose to buy, as well as on the number of hotels and the number of beds you wish manage.

NOTE: You should also consider the cost of the infrastructure you'll need to host Bookyo, which is not included.

 

 
How much does it cost to rent Bookyo?

Renting Bookyo will cost you a 5% (*) commission over the total value of the reservation.

(*) There will be a minimum monthly commission, depending upon the set of modules you rent and the number of hotels and beds you manage. If you're looking for numbers, get in touch.

Installation of:

  • Bookyo (in a server with the minimum requirements)
  • Digital Certificate (*)

When I buy, where do I host Bookyo?
When you buy Bookyo you must also host it. So you'll need to buy or rent a hosting infrastructure and a professional internet connection.
If you are going to use your own server(s), we will be glad to help you set it up.
But you don't need to invest a ton of cash buying a top notch data centre. You can simply start by renting a virtual private server which will do in the vast majority of cases (and can run as low as $20 a month). We will also be glad to help you set this up.
Either way, these are the minimum requirements to host Bookyo:
 
Server(s) with:
  • Internet connectivity with public fixed IP address;
  • Minimum 20 Gb storage with redundancy for failure tolerance (RAID)
  • Minimum 1 Gb RAM per server
  • Hosted in datacentre with logical and physical security
  • Remote SSH2 connectivity for installation, configuration and possible maintenance assistance

Note: if the installation is to be made on a cluster of servers, they will have to share a common storage through NAS or SAN.

Operating System on the server:

  • Linux (we recommend Debian or Ubuntu-server more recent distributions)

Base services to be installed on each server:

  • Apache server 2.2.24 or newer with PHP extension version 5.2.4 or superior with the following modules installed:
    • php-gd
    • php-mysql
  • MySQL Server 5.0.45 or newer
  • respective MySQL Client

Other requirements:

  • SMTP server for sending emails
  • Configurable DNS for eventually adding a new hostname (example: booking.yourhotelname.com).

When I buy Bookyo, does its server need any maintenance?

Well... yes.

Before you buy Bookyo, you should consider that it needs some maintenance efforts.

Maintenance services can be provided by your own people or can be outsourced to another provider.

Server Maintenance

  • Basic Maintenance Plan: €180/month/server (most people will go for this plan)
  • Superior Maintenance Plan: €360/month/server (when you look for "extra care")

We can also provide you a Service Down Response Plan. It costs €200/month/server but it does not include the Monitoring and Alert Service which you must subscribe with one of many specialist providers.
