Glad you asked. The client payment data is transacted through SSL secure channel. If you are using a payment gateway, the payment data is transmitted through SSL and both endpoint servers are identified by a certificate.

When the client payment data is stored in Bookyo - which can be used later for billing -, it is encrypted for each supplier (you, probably) with a key provided by him. The encryption algorythms used are a combination of RSA and RC4.

By the way, Bookyo stores payment data in a separate database instance for each renting customer.
